Our Purpose
The Friends are a vibrant, not-for-profit membership based organisation for people who love the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria (RBGV), Melbourne Gardens, and plants, and who want to support conservation and scientific research.
Our Mission
- To develop the bond between the RBGV, Melbourne Gardens and the National Herbarium of Victoria and the people of Victoria
- To conserve, protect and sponsor the RBGV, Melbourne Gardens and the National Herbarium of Victoria
- To support the RBGV, Melbourne Gardens and the National Herbarium of Victoria financially
- To foster the interest of members in the RBGV, Melbourne Gardens and the National Herbarium of Victoria, and in plants and flora generally.
