The Friends' Botanic Art Exhibitions

The Friends of the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne hold regular botanic art classes and workshops at the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, Melbourne Gardens. They also have a Botanical Illustrators Group and a Whirlybirds painting group. 

The Botanical Illustrators and the Friends present regular Botanic Art Exhibitions. Since 1992 they have held the biennial The Art of Botanical Illustration Exhibitions, a large exhibition of over 150 selected botanically correct work held in the Domain House Gallery. In the in between years the Friends hold a natural history art exhibition of work which is not selected, allowing all the Friends' botanic art students to enter and have their work hung. All work at both exhibitions is for sale.
